Shrinky dink

Towards the last weeks of pregnancy life shrinks very quickly, although not tidily enough for me.
To do it well I have to let go, let go, let go. Not my forte...although I try to fool myself that I am really flexible. Goodbye to extra social time, energy, projects of all sorts, fancy food, etc, etc. I try to remember it is for a season and soon (six months goes by fast!) we will have a little baby snugged up in a wrap as we bop about town getting a startling list of accomplishments going. Startling in that they have been unimaginable and exhausting until that day and no more thrilling than say, getting groceries, laundry, and the library in one day.
But to put it all in perspective we will have a lovely, sweet smelling, stretching, floppy bundle of baby nuzzling asleep on everyone's chests and making sweet baby sighs and sweet baby smiles and opening our family up on another personality addition in God's delightful plan for us. Somedays I just can't wait! Then I remember I have to go through labor again.....
